Midget

Stood a little midget
Looking in the sky
Wishing at the rainbow
So that he could fly
Down came a raindrop
Landed on his chin
Rolled down his jumper
And he caught it in a tin
Took it to the jewellers
Encased it in pure gold
With a golden necklace
A treasure to behold
The midget to his sweetheart
His jewel to bequeath
To gain her loving splendour
That night upon the heath
She was squat and ugly
Face riven like a toad
Muscles on her biceps
As hard as any stone
She took the present lightly
And bit it with her teeth
Then crouched upon the ground
So he could enter from beneath
In a flash the heavens opened
And washed them both in rain
Out rolled the droplet
And never seen again
Although the past is over
The midgets on a quest
To search the mighty universe
And never will he rest
To find that drop of water
Where ever it may hide
Bring it to his sweetheart
And so restore his pride
